Is there any money in luge? As in the World Cups, European Cups and Olympics? How do sliders make money?

officials pay for you to be on their team and you earn money.

addition to the Olympics, the FIL has World and European championships,
runs a world cup circuit from Nov to Feb. Total prize money this year
for FIL events is รข‚¬ 260,000. Obviously sponsorship and funding
through the slider's national federation and Olympic Committee is the
primary source of income.
