My local youth group isnt planning on going to Australia for WYD .. how can i try and make it happen!? ASAP?

i am 16 years old and i would like to join a youth group to be a part
of it, met people and go to world youth day. i live in canada and it is
far to go to australia. i have wanted to go since it was held in toronto
when i was 10. soo i called my local parish and asked if they were
planning on attending WYD and they said no becuase it is too much money
for everyone. but i really want to join the youth group at my local
parish but how can i try to go to australia with them? i mean if i join
what can i say and suggest that we do to make money/?

Most
cities have Lions Clubs The Lions have a youth Exchange program. There
are Leo Clubs for teens.,. check the internet for lionscluubs. on the
home page there is a club locator. Its a great club We like to help
people.
