can make more - in fact they can earn the same or more than Doctors
these days.
Of course when you are starting out - the apprentice wage sucks .... for
3-4 years, then on trade prices, you really start getting into the big
bucks when you sub-contract or self employed.

Both of
the trades are doing very well here, as there is a housing boom on at
present. Australia can't get enough trades personal at the moment and
everyone is crying out for more qualified workers,

Depends
if they're sub-contractors (work for themselves) or employed by someone
else. And also if they're working on site (buildings) or just domestic
(homes).
I'd say plummers who do roof or industrial work would get paid more but
it's definitely harder work!
