If possible, don't fly with Philippine Airlines as they have their heads so far up their own asses. The last time i flew with them from Manila to Australia, i had a nightmare time flying back. They almost wouldn't let my wife board the plane DESPITE being a Filipino citizen at the time coz we didn't have any proof of having an outbound flight leaving the Philippines. The check in staff couldn't get it in their thick skulls we were on the return leg of a return ticket, plus the fact we both could enter the Philippines with no restrictions under the Balikbayan rule. So we had to rush around to the SIngapore Airlines office to get a print out of our itinerary going back to the UK, only then we were allowed to check in properly. I will never fly with them to Australia again. But they were the cheapest at the time, so my advice is, if you do take them, bring every little travel document, plane ticket or itinerary with you as the staff are very arrogant with little knowledge of their own country's visa and entry requirements.
