Moving to Australia and have found anything near Sydney and the other recommended citys is very expensive?
I
am trying to figure out what the realistic rent for a two bedroom place
to stay in the suburbs of Sydney, Melbourne or adelaide. Also what type
of money I could make? just for the questions sake lets say a below
average wage.
Thanks a bunch guys!
Well that was good info I did not realize how high the minimum wage was
there!
thats great news but if you paycheck was 500 for example how much would
you have after taxes and other misc things they take out??? Thanks
again!

Minimum
wages for an adult will be around $15-$20/hr. Adelaide will be a lot
cheaper than Sydney and Melbourne.
Pretty much all the property available in Australia is listed on
www.domain.com.au and/or www.realestate.com.au as these sites re owned
by the two major newspaper chains.
See www.ato.gov.au/individuals, click on link for 'work out your tax',
'income tax rates'.
2 :
If you are interested in working in
Sydney why not look at living in Wollongong. The northern suburbs are
still quite expensive but you can get a decent two bedroom rental in
North Wollongong for around $250 a week. From there you can easily catch
the train up to the city for work. It's about 1.5 hours south of Sydney
CBD.
Here is the income tax rates for you.
http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.asp?doc=/content/12333.htm&mnu=42590&mfp=001

In
general keep in mind the further out you are from the centre of a city
the cheaper it is to rent. Also you may spend quite a while commuting.
In saying that you can get a 3 bedroom house on the outskirts of Sydney
for cheaper than an apartment in the city centre. The other responses
have provided great websites, just keep in mind most rental quotes are
for per week rent unless otherwise stated.
If you want an idea of more specific pay rates and job availablity for
your particular career http://www.careerone.com.au is at least one
decent websites, use that in conjunction with the tax rates websites
provided above to gain a better understanding. Also medical and dental
are not usually considered part of the wage package as it is in the US,
mainly because citizens are covered under our free public health program
(except dental) and you would most likely need to pay your own private
insurance.
Also pay rates can lower in some cities than others, for example you get
paid less in Hobart than Sydney, but you also pay less for housing so
it can generally balance out.
Just some further information on tax, when you get a pay slip it shows
what is called PAYG (Pay As You Go) tax, which is the basic income that
all people pay. Also by law your employer must pay 8% of your
wage/salary into a superannuation fund. Most other items taken off pay
are by choice which can include paying back a government debt (which can
also be court ordered), extra into superannuation and even paying back
government university fees (which is compulsory repayment if you earn
over a certain amount, based on the Consumer Price Index, though you can
pay more by choice). One also pays a Medicare levy (as a citizen),
which covers the public health system, and if you have private health
insurance you maybe eligible for a rebate at tax time. Also our tax
year is 1 July - 30 June.

How can I make $300 online for free?
How can I make $300 online for free?
I'm in my early teens. I want to make $300 from the internet, 100% free and legitimate only. I live in Australia, I don't have a pay pal account and i really don't want to make one. So if money can be sent via cheque would be great.

A great job and way for Teens to make money is by doing Free Surveys Online. Its simple, easy and for ages 13 and up. check this blog for more info and Proof of Payments http://Job4Teens.blogspot.com
2 :
How do you think you can make money for free other than dishonestly? You'll have to work for it 'offline' - try cleaning cars, gardening etc. - won't take you long. You don't have or want a Paypal account as you have to be 18 (and legally and financially responsible and sue-able) to get one! Whereas you can have cheques paid into an account for a minor whatever the source.

there are numerous ways to earn money online, but most of them require certain registration fee. if you wish to earn without investing anything, then i will suggest you PTC sites, where u get money to click advertisements.................. i myself is earning respectable side income from them. all you have to do is register and start clicking advertisements right away. You might earn slow in the beginning but once u buy refferal packs from the money u've earned, it multiplies your earnings and speeds it up. and moreover its a totally genuine and scamfree way of earning. PATIENCE IS THE KEY i signed up for many PTC sites, among which many were scams and did not bother to pay me any money. but the link below indicates a list of those sites, from which im actually earning, on regular basis: http://www.geocities.com/make_online.money/earn_money_online.html works for minors as well !! Yes L.A. can be dangerous in parts, anywhere can really just be sure you are making the right decision and, have researched where you are going to live very well.
5 :
La is full of wannabe musicians anymore,To much competition there,Besides most record producers are looking in other areas these days.Yes Los Angeles can be a very dangerous place to live. You better have some real money if you want to live in any decent safe area.Any small one bedroom apt is going to run at least in the area of 1500 per month.

Any reputable work from home jobs in Australia?
Any reputable work from home jobs in Australia?
Does anybody know how to make money from home, in Australia, NO SCAMS PLEASE, have had enough of those. I'm also not interested in being given a link to a website which takes you in and then you have to scour through another million sites to try and find something (+ they cost to join). I'm also not interested in Survey sites as I have tried them and most only pay you 2cents for 20 minutes work! (No thanks!). I want something that's either free to start or will only cost say up to $100 as I don't have a lot to start with. (Oh and no Ebay either thanks). I have tried to get into Affiliate marketing but something isn't going right for me there as I can't seem to make any money out of it, so obviously doing something wrong! If there are any GENUINE people out there who ARE making money working from home I would be REALLY HAPPY to hear from you. Thanku.

You sound a lot like me. My pockets been picked quite a few times! But take a look at http://is.gd/5xYx8 It's called Free & Powerful and it costs nothing to join and there are no monthly fees...thats why I joined. It's a simple plan that provides you with good training and resources at no cost, and you can earn $50 within the first hour by completing 3 easy steps. There are some options that cost but they are strictly by choice...not be force. But even those options are inexpensive and allow you to earn more money. I have been successful with this business and it is a major source of income for me at this time. Take a look...it won't cost you nothing. I wish you the best of luck!

You can see lots of job offers at odesk. You can also check work at home forums. They have lots of work at home resources there. Just an advice - when applying to a potential employer, avoid those that requires initial fee. You should not be giving any amount in exchange for a job.
3 :
You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as "work at home" because they would hear from too many unqualified people.
4 :
hi maybe, where in australia are you located and how much work are you looking for? what_i_w@hotmail.com
5 :
At first it isn't very easy with blogging and the code and everything but if you are talking about wanting to spend money to buy a job you are moving in the opposite direction not in the right one, but I wish you very good luck. I did make some money with ebay.

Not sure about there, but setup a 800 number though your phone company is one way, your phone company takes care of all the billing for you, i would stay away from credit card payments as they can be cancled for payment latter.
2 :
Find an advertisement of someone who does this, call them and say you'd like to join their company.
3 :
check out the adult ads in the tabloid newspapers, and call them up. They should be able to set you up. Just be aware that adult phone calls may only be words, but emotionally it can cause problems. I tried doing phone sex once, and I felt so bad, because to him it was nothing, but it meant something to me, so I stopped it. And this was before I was married.

Is it worth buying the cheapest base 27 inch iMac over the base 21.5 inch iMac in Australia?
Need a new computer and just can't decide which one I want. I want a huge screen (21.5 inch is pretty big I know, but I want something special). I'm only 13 and I know its expensive but I make good money so yeah. And that's in $AUS please not $US.

Well Jacob, simply put, its never actually "worth" buying a mac. This is because apple hardware is normally of a sub-standard quality, and cheaply made, yet they still charge insanely high prices for it. This is because Apple is a business, and in business, the objective is to maximize profit. Apple does this buy charging high prices for low grade hardware, with a fancy brand name on it. Apple computers are also designed in such a manner, that they prevent you from upgrading any of the hardware in them, which forces you to buy an entire new PC a few years down the track when its underperforming. If you want to a new computer, your best option (short of building your own, because you're only 13) is to have one custom built by a local independent computer store. Doing this ensures you get the latest, quality brand-name hardware, at a price that is much lower than buying a prebuilt computer. A windows-based PC will be much better suited to your needs, you'll be able to play a lot more games, and you'll find it will have much greater compatability with various file formats. Hell once your feeling adventurous enough, later down the track you might decide you want to upgrade your own hardware, or even overclock your CPU. You will not be able to do those things on a Mac. Macs are more intended for use by industry professionals such as graphic desginers, or people in movie or music production. Or at the opposite end of the spectrum, people who aren't very computer literate, because I've heard that OSX is good for first-time computer users. If you plan on disregarding everything I've just said, and you buy a Mac then get the 21.5 inch one. But, I would really advise against it.
