really? I Just went on a p2p trip to Australia this summer! it was the BEST experience of my life! lol ok so to rasie money. first i would consider getting a job defenitly. It will help with some of the expences, saving up all till next may or so and working on minimum wage could get you at least 1 to 2 thousand dollars. second sell things. no joke i am doing that right now to go to europe next summer and it really works. come up with something unique or sell old stuff at craft fairs. *this one works WELL if you are commited* third try asking for sponsors. Go to local businesses and ask them to sponsor you. Tell them that if they sponsor you, when you come back from your trip you will show them pictures, how much you learned from the trip etc... (some sponors can donate 100 to 300 dollars) last is to ask! I am sure you have family members, neighbors, besicly almost anyone who is willing to donate 10 to 50 dollars to your trip or more! Ask a lot of people and you could be in business! :) I really hope these help! I hope you have a GREAT trip as i did! :) dont be afraid to ask me questions bout my experience.

Try finding a consignment shop willing to but from you or a friend that is good on craigs list or ebay to help you with an account then go to a cheap thrift store (my absolute favorite is goodwill) and try to find vintage things with labels, even if you think its ugly an Oscar De La Renta coat or Chanel top will get you far. Consider either getting it sent to a dry cleaners or ironing it to make it look nicer, then sell with a profit. GOOD LUCK!

First of all, I agree with Ginger - get a job. if you work right up till when you leave, you will earn quite a bit towards the cost. Even if you dont particularly like the job, the thought of the trip should keep you in there. A job provides security too, so you might be able to ask your parents/grandparents to loan you some of the money with the promise of repayment. Washing windows can earn you a lot of money. Print off a flyer, and go door knocking in a nice area with plenty of big houses (which will have lots of windows). If you do a good job, word will get around. In the same way, mowing lawns can be a good way to get some extra cash, and Babysitting is always an option. Also, I'm not sure if you have anything like this in America, but I know a lot of people who sell chocolates as a fundraiser, and they get to keep a proportion of the profit - this is particularly good if you are at school. So maybe you should look into this. Do you have rotary clubs or anything like that in America? Often people here that do trips like this are able to apply for a scholarship from a rotary club etc. The only condition is that you go and give them a presentation about your trip when you get back. Just google fundraising and hopefully you will come up with websites that support student fundraising, and you might be able to get some ideas from this - the only websites I get are Aussie, but hopefully you will find something helpful. And remember: Dont spend the money if you dont need the item :) Try these websites for ideas: http://ezinearticles.com/?Ways-to-Make-Money-Quickly,-Legally&id=226118 http://blogs.moneycentral.msn.com/smartspending/archive/2009/02/06/52-ways-to-make-extra-money.aspx
5 :
Get a job and work as many hours as you can, this not only means you earn a lot, but you also can't spend it if your always at work. If you already have a job look at getting a second job for a few months. Ask for money or things you will need for any birthdays/christmas presents between now and when you leave. Ask your parents or relatives if you can earn money around the house doing odd jobs.
6 :
No one is going to help fundraise just so you can go on a nice holiday no matter what the title of the program is. Work more hours or ebay all of your stuff.

Well, depending on your age, maybe you could mow lawns and do some physical labor outdoors for neighbors and stuff, or you could babysit kids. That's usually what most teens/pre-teens make money.

Yes, the ATO can take money from your wages without an TFN - but without one you'll be losing about half your wage to them. You can apply for a TFN via this address: http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.asp?doc=/content/4716.htm - just follow the links from there.
2 :
hey mate, pretty sure you can do it online and i would definitely get one. might not matter now but will save you a lot of money in the future. try through the ato http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.asp?doc=/content/4716.htm

You should definately apply for a tax file number to ensure you are not overtaxed, and are able to access the $6000 tax free threshold Are you still at school? A lot of schools participate in the Secondary schools TFN program. Applying through the school means you don't have to send off a heap of documenation to prove your identity. However, you'll still need to complete some identity details so you will need access to your birth certificate or Australian passport when completing the form. Check it out with your teachers. If you can't follow the about route, then you must complete an original TFN application form which can be ordered from ( http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.asp?doc=/content/4716.htm&pc=001/002/043/001/004&mnu=&mfp=&st=&cy=1 ), or can be obtained from a Centrelink office or selected Newsagents. Unfortunately, for an individual, you must send original documents with the application to prove your identity as part of the application process. So you cannot actually apply online. It will take up to 28 days for the ATO to process your application.

im sure you could fit things in beetween all your activitys.. wash neigbours cars, walk there dogs, do chores around the hous for extra money, get a paper round, go to local butchers they do employ under 16 yr olds to clean on weekend ends

spare time stand on the street corner with a tin cup? apply for a grant that you do not need to pay back? paper route? I would not recommend - robbing a bank, selling drugs, or selling sex

know anyone who can pay you to help them out? like freelance, only, "not free" ? heck, i bet alot of people who have jobs they need to get done, but can't, because they busy, or can't do it.. its a start.. favor for a favor, work for people, get paid.. and you don't even have to work for weeks to get paid..

well first, Wednesday, replace karate with taekwondo, maybe you could start a potatoe farm in your backyard and make chips and start a chip stand, cut up some potatoes, deep fry em and voila! chips, an inexpensive way to make money. your mum will like it! (my sincerest apologies if you don't have a mother) and if that doesn't work, go up to a kid and tell em you'll give em a piggy back for 5 bucks, he will then proceed to whine to his mum until she finally gives in! 5 bucks! and the piggy back doesn't even have to last that long! and half way you could just fall backwards! perfect recipe for holiday fun! and a lawsuit for illegal, unlicensed transportation of kids and homicide. LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!

i'm 14 too, and i usually babysit or sell cookies to earn some money.. you should do babysitting too, at night since u have a lot of activities during the day! But my social life went a little bit down, because while some people were partying i had to babysit... but i really needed that money so yeah... and selling cookies; it's rather fun! well i did that with a friend and we earned a lot, after a whole weekend of ringing people's doorbells :D

Live your age dear...live your life and don't think about how to make money, unless you are in a hopeless financial situation and you need to help your parents but in this case I think you have to sacrifice some of your activities...if things are not that serious, I recommend you stop thinking this way, try to have fun in each and every minute of your life, because in 3 to 4 years from now you will have to work your ass out day and night for college and part time job...

Making money at any age is not the easiest achievement. Sure, you can take on a holiday job but usually that income is small and your effort does not often match the remuneration. If you have identified that your financial needs outstrips your allowance or current income, I would advise that you take the first steps to securing a steady income for yourself through the internet. Sure it is not going to happen overnight but with a little effort now, you will reap the rewards in the next few months. The income potential of blogging, affiliate marketing and other money making options online is a realistic and potentially profitable venture. I speak from experience. What was an online hobby, has now become a serious flow of income and I still keep my day job. In your case that means that you will still be able to focus on school and activities which is very important for your future. In your case, it would fit in quite well with your hectic schedule and extracurricular activities. An hour a day can often earn you enough money to meet your basic needs. I would advise that you visit the site below to explore all your options on making money online and see what suits you best. My advice though is that you are still young. Enjoy life and don't get too engrossed in money and related issues.
