how do you make money when ur 11?? what are some good sites for leotards??
I am an 11 yr old girl gymnast from Australia, I am trying to save up for a new leotard. I was wondering, how can I make money. Odd-jobs, baby sitting, lemonade stand, paper route, dog walking, mowing lawns are out of the question. I'm not sure about a garage sale but that would probably be out of the question as well. I need something creative that my mum would allow. What are some good leotard selling sites that sell cheap high quality leotards? And they have to be Australian cuz if they're American I might not be able to buy them. And should I buy any leotard briefs? Is it best to train in just a leotard or a leotard and shorts over the top? Thanks for your replies!

i'm a gymnast from the u.s. and our coach always says not to train with shorts on because they could get caught on the bar and you could hurt yourself. she also says it is harder for the coach to see if you are tight or not. I don't really know any jobs other than those because i babysit and get a LOT of $! and i know u can get briefs from GK magazines but i don't know if u can get them in Australia. what level are u? i'm level 7

How can I make money at age 14?

How can I make money at age 14?
I'm turning 14 not very long from now. Only about a week and a half. I want to make money because my family is planning a trip to go someplace outside the U.S. I really want to go to Brisbane, Australia, but the thing is tickets for the plane ride there is about $1,250 per person. We would have 5 people going, so yeah. About $6,000 for all, not including hotels and otherthings. We are going to save up for going next March, for atleast a week or two. Well back to the question... how can I make money to save up for this trip? Is there a way I can use my good talents (which are: singing, drawing, crafting, baking, etc.) to help make money? My boyfriend works at a place and he gets about $120.00 a month, and he only works Fridays, as a dishwasher. I can check that place out, just there goes my Fridays (which doesn't matter really). I want to pay for my ticket, yet have enough for spending (there are really cool shops there, and I wanna get some clothing too) the least for spending money would be $150. Please help, I'm stumped. :) 10 pts to best answer!!! Oh, and... NO ONLINE SURVEYS!!! (extra question: How can I go about singing for money or something?)

People are always looking for good babysitters and house cleaners. Are you good with either of those things? If you do that, you can keep your cash low enough to avoid taxes. You can go to your neighbors' homes and make those offers to babysit or clean their home or a portion of their home. You can check out dog sitting and walking. Here's a website about jobs for your age: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_jobs_can_a_14-year-old_get. It'd be great if you can get on with Disney. Here's their website: http://jobsearch.about.com/od/companyprofiles/p/disney.htm. You could audition to sing for them. Google Auditions in your area for more ideas. Maybe you could enter contests to win money. Good luck.

I'm assuming you live in a state where the working age is 14. Check your state laws to be sure. You can get your working papers for a work card through your guidance counselor at school. Just some basic information (social security number, address, physical from a doctor, etc.). If you're lucky, you can get a job at a supermarket or a fast food restaurant. If you're lucky, that is.

Are Australian universities just a scam to make money?

Are Australian universities just a scam to make money?
I'm talking in particular about these postgrad programs they offer like the Master of Commerce. Instead of truly having it as a postgrad program, the teach you the exact same courses again that they teach in their undergrad program. Same professor, same book, same lecture slides. Not even the classroom changes! The only difference is that they can earn even more money that way for these programs. What surprises me even more than that is the fact that there are no admissions tests whatsoever. So anyone who has a bachelors degree will get in, never mind that they vary in time depending which country you are from. Some took a bachelors from some country where it only takes 2 years and you learn nothing, others took 4-5 years. Australian schools don't seem to care though as long as they pay in the money. The most absurd thing is that most of the students that go there don't even seem to speak English that well. I have no clue how they get in, but I am really surprised that these schools in Australia don't have any internal language tests before they let them start the program. I kind of think that they don't have them as they would not pass them. Hence, they would not study there and pay in those ridiculous fees. Most students I met only study in Australia because they did not fulfill the requirements to study in other countries. Not sure if anyone has ever been there and witnessed it, but Australian universities are a joke. I truly think it's a huge scam. Not even private schools would get away with that in the States. Then they use their strict grading curves they push you into in order to make it all look somewhat legit. Nothing about the Australian education is legit. It's seriously a joke. The thing I don't understand at all is why these schools run after students in countries all over the world. I mean usually students run after the schools, but here it's the other way around. They open their offices in foreign countries to get these students in. They even file the application for you and in case you are too lazy to do it. I mean who does that? They even fly overseas to talk to students to get more students to study in Australia. You can deny it, but just take one look around and you will realize that it's all about money. The education there comes last. How do Australians regard these postgraduate degrees they offer? Because I hear from people that completed their undergrad degree in Australia that they just take the exact same classes again for their postgrad degree. They don't have to study that way because they had the exact same class, professor, book, and lecture slides before. What a joke!!! Well, I had to post the question again bc somebody complained about it and had it taken off. I have no clue why, but he had it taken off. So I never got to read the answers and therefore had to ask the question again if you know what I mean.

As you have been told in the countless other times you have posted this question - a postgrad Masters is not supposed to be a HARDER degree - it is an upgrade to allow you to have a major in another topic. You do a BA in Accounting and then want to expand to Commerce - instead of doing another Bachelors - your option is to do a short term Masters to get the same qualification. If you believe a Masters is learning the same topics but only more stringent - then your understanding of what a Masters by Coursework ANYWHERE in the world is wrong. The harder, more stringent degree is a Masters by Research.
